Footwear Product Developer

They are currently looking for a footwear product developer to join their team in the heart of London. You will be working closely with the Product Manager, Senior Product Developer, Product Development Assistant, Designers and Technical Manager to develop footwear, from initial design specification to sealing handover, liaising with suppliers in the Far East and Europe.
Your role will entail briefing design specifications to agents and factories, creating and maintaining specification packs throughout the season. You will ensure all products are developed on time within the critical path to meet key dates as well as ensuring all products are developed within the agreed cost structure. You will need to have clear and effective communication to all sources whilst building and maintaining close working relationships with agents and factories.
You will need to have a minimum of three years experience developing footwear. It is essential that you have excellent understanding of footwear construction and manufacturing. A keen eye for detail and delivering product to development time lines. You should have experience working with factories in Far East and Europe, and understands culture and product costing.
You need to have advanced knowledge of Excel and be able to independently travel to factories with basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
The ideal person needs to be a good communicator, team player, self-motivated and delivery focused, organised and structured, enthusiastic, have a good sense of humour and be a quick learner.
