
Fabric and Trims Coordinator
This premium high street retailer is looking for a fabric and trims coordinator to join their head office in Central London. They are looking for a candidate to support and manage the fabric and trim development cycle each season.
The candidate must have sound knowledge of fabric development, excellent communication skills, a team player as well as being self-motivated and having strong organisational skills.
It is essential you are able to work well in a fast paced, demanding environment. Your skill set should include being PC literate, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Your responsibilities within the role will include:
Create, monitor and manage a Seasonal Master Cloth List to used as a reference to all departments.
Ensure that all Fabric and Trim is loaded correctly with Mill Ref and Composition.
Negotiate Bulk Fabric Prices with the Sourcing Manager once bulk orders have been placed. Co-ordinate Sourcing of Fabric or Trim with Factories on fully factored product.
Sign off of fabric resourcing for production with the Sourcing and Design Teams.
Submit, Chase and Sign off Lab dips for Production.
Identify Special finishes that maybe required on Bulk Production Cloth for Performance wear. Technical experience for approving Bulk Submissions, Including resourced Items.
Ensure that minimum and lead time information is available at pre-buy stage in the season. Co-ordinate fabric and trim for press samples with the Sourcing Team.
Ensure that fabric test reports are compatible with the product developed for production. Calculate all fabric and trims required to fulfil bulk order requirements.
Place all orders of Fabric or Trim with Suppliers. Record and Update all Bulk Fabric orders purchased for Production.
Create and maintain Fabric Purchase orders on Pennine system.
Chase packing lists, invoices and arrange and negotiate shipping to factories Book in PO's once fabrics are delivered to Manufacturers on Torrex.
Maintain Fabric Critical Path on Fast React system, Co-ordinate Fabric Shipments with Production Co-ordinators and Factories Maintain and update company fabric stock files and update.
Ensure that Composition is correct and liaise with Technical regarding Care Label Information.
Co-ordinate Excess Raw Material Audit at the end of each season to monitor residue stock. Storage management where necessary.
Present and keep up to date stock boards for design and merchandising to utilise. Aside from the above responsibilities, you will need to have an understanding of the premium market as well as the customer, analysing trend and forecasting within the market.
